Shipping Policy (Effective March 2026)

At Iron Dog Raw, we’re committed to delivering your dog’s food as quickly, safely, and freshly as possible. While we aim to meet all expected timelines, please note that we are not responsible for delays caused by weather, carrier disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Order Processing Update (High Volume Notice)

Due to a significant increase in order volume, we kindly ask customers to allow 24–48 hours for order processing before shipment.

While we continue to prioritize and ship orders placed before 10:00 AM CST the same day whenever possible, occasional 1-2 business day processing delays may occur during peak periods.

Please know:

• We are actively expanding fulfillment capacity.
• All orders are processed in the order they are received.
• Perishable shipments are carefully packed to maintain safe temperatures throughout transit.

Our team is working diligently to keep orders moving as quickly as possible while maintaining the safety and quality standards you expect from Iron Dog Raw.

Frozen Raw Products (Frozen Products)

As of October 2025, Iron Dog Raw ships most frozen products Monday through Thursday under our expanded shipping model.

  • Orders placed before 10:00 AM CST will ship same-day, when possible.

  • Orders placed after 10:00 AM CST on Thursday, or anytime Friday through Sunday, will ship the following Monday.

Please note: On rare occasions, FedEx may arrive earlier than our 10:00 AM cutoff to pick up trailers. If this occurs and your order cannot be loaded onto that truck, your package will be moved to the next scheduled shipping day.

Transit Times:
Most orders reach customers within 1–2 business days. Some regions (especially parts of the West Coast and other distant areas) may require 3–4 business days in transit.

We use eco-friendly compostable insulation and dry ice or gel packs to ensure optimal cold retention throughout delivery.

During this transition, you may receive shipments in either Iron Dog Raw branded boxes or plain boxes with Iron Dog Raw labels - both provide the same premium product quality and cold protection.

Chicken Blend & Raw Meaty Bones

Our Chicken Blend and Raw Meaty Bones will continue shipping only on Mondays until further notice, while we complete our operational transition.

  • Orders for these items must be placed by Sunday at 2:00 PM CST to ship that Monday.

  • Orders placed after the cutoff will ship the following Monday.

Freeze-Dried Products

  • Ship Monday through Friday via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.

  • Delivery typically occurs within 1–7 business days, depending on location.

Shipping Costs

Shipping rates may vary based on carrier adjustments, regional zones, and fuel surcharges.

Holiday Shipping Notice

If a federal holiday falls on a scheduled shipping day, frozen orders will ship on the next business day, which may result in a 1-day delay.

Delivery, Temperature & Safety

Our frozen products ship with insulated packaging and dry ice and are designed to maintain refrigerated-safe temperatures (40°F or below) for up to 8 days in transit.

Important: In 3–5 day transit zones and warmer climates, it is normal for frozen product to arrive partially or fully thawed but still cold to the touch. This is expected and considered safe.

Our goal is refrigerated-safe arrival; not guaranteed fully frozen product upon delivery.

If your order arrives cold to the touch, it is safe to refreeze or feed immediately, similar to thawed meat found in the refrigerated section of your local grocery store.

Reporting Issues

Customers must report shipment concerns within 24 hours of delivery to qualify for review.

All temperature and condition concerns are evaluated case-by-case.

If your frozen order has not arrived by the end of the fifth business day after shipment, please contact us for assistance.
